The result is the Ionic Chronograph. Now, let’s talk chemistry. The advanced science in the Ionic is found in the band and bezel, where the finish has been ion-plated to the stainless steel. Performed in a vacuum by trained experts, ion-plating vaporizes the metals and bonds them together, essentially using a second form of hybridization, strengthening the metal so that it becomes up to eight times more resistant to the elements. Not to mention to aesthetic of lustrous black like you’ve never seen it.
